Back from the post-shuffle black out
As usual with my posts have been slightly infrequent lately. It’s been 2 weeks since we last spoke. But I am now older (31) and wiser than my last post. I will use today as a quick update.
-The Shamrock Shuffle went very well. It was an unpleasant day, but in the end I broke 40 minutes. The race is not quite as much fun as is used to be. The amenities are really stripped down. I’m hoping this is an economy thing and we get back to the typical Shuffle in a year or two. Note to the Shuffle organizers (as if they read this): If you have a 45,000 person race, that costs as much as yours, you need to have a medal.
-Outside of the shuffle things are rather status quo.Running, biking and swimming 6-7 days a week
-My swim mile time is down to just under 35 minutes.
-I was able to get on my real bike for the first time this year.
-Upcoming races: 4/25: Race to Wrigley, 5/8: Indianapolis Mini-Marathon, 5/29 Soldier Field 10 Miler, 6/13 Lake In The Hills Triathlon
